Recently the hacker community got Android running on the Palm Pre (dual booting) with the native webOS. ?I just?figured?out how to get third party apps installed. ?It was late at night and the video didn’t go as smooth as I would have liked (wi-fi off screwed things up) but, this shows that third party apps can be installed, see my post @ PreCentral with the details on how to install the apps…This is all a work in progress and is sure to change….Let me know what you think….

I was thinking of getting a new bike computer to get stats such as distance and speed. ?Then I thought there should be plenty of apps that could perform the same tasks with the built in GPS of my Palm Pre? ?A search in the app catalog showed a couple options and I tried out JogStats, it worked great for me and I give it a thumbs UP! Please check out the screenshots below, and the website is http://jogstats.com so check it out! ?With the data from this program I should be able to make my “Where am I?” posts a bit more interesting with some rich location data!

I was really?bothered when Steve Jobs?announced the iPad and called it a MAGICAL device. Then I saw this video and now…I STAND CORRECTED…
