2010 GT GTR CX

Recently I have been thinking about the good times I had on the mountain bike trails in my early 20’s. ??Also always wanted to try my hand at getting somewhat serious about road biking. ?Lucky for me I happen to have both style of bikes; a?Specialized RockHopper (early 90’s) and a Raleigh Competition (1973). the mountain bike would need a tune up and the road bike would need an overhual if not more!

One of my close friends mentioned that he was building a cyclocross bike, with the purpose to be able to attack both styles of biking road & trails. ?This got me thinking might a cyclocross bike be a good choice for me?
